Simple Boating made Affordable to Own
While some are dreaming of owning their own boats, others are making it happen. How? The options are now quite simple. If you love being over the waters, it does not take much to have a boat stored in your garage that you can put in your car's trunk anytime you're ready to go paddle around in a safe lake under the sun.
A few years ago, I recall posting on social media a picture of a white and blue kayak I had seen in a store, saying “on my to-get-list; different seasons, different things”. While it was my plan to have my very own kayak so I could avoid renting one, I procrastinated because I wasn’t sure where I’d store it at that point being I did not have a garage, and wasn’t sure how I would transport it to and from the lake without a truck. Therefore, the kayak was pushed to the bottom of my to-get-list. However, two summers ago, I was visiting a local state park and gazing across its beautiful lake when a father and son drifted by in their two-seater kayak. There was something unusual about this kayak as I noticed it was an inflatable type. “No way!”, I thought to myself as my jaws dropped. There it was, the answer has appeared and was floating right before me. I quickly began researching inflatable kayaks and there they were all easily accessible. Surely you know what happened next. I ordered one, and I had to choose between a one-seater or a two-seater. I chose a one-seater because I knew sometimes I may want to just have some ‘me’ time while I relax and enjoy my beautiful nature surroundings. Therefore, any friends and family that I go kayaking with will just have to get their own, which definitely happened; my oldest son purchased a kayak around the same time I got mines.
It was a wonderful experience. As I sat in my kayak, rowing with the paddles that also came with the purchase, I thought to myself, “this is how I will spend most of my summer”. It was very relaxing and I enjoyed every minute of it. I brought along some California sushi rolls, juice and water, and I decided to go “live” on social media which is something I don’t normally do, and it wasn’t to brag or boast, it was only to show how beautiful and simple it was to just get out of the house and enjoy nature. I wanted to inspire others to do so as well. Just please be mindful of boating only in safe areas, such as state parks that are known for kayaking and so forth. Also, while most inflatable boats come with a manual air pump, I recommend getting an electric air pump that powers from your automobile. However, I can honestly say the manual pump did not disappoint, just don’t be in a rush when using it. Well, go ahead and view the inflatable boat options that I’ve included below. For the record, the ‘Boat 1’ option is the kayak that I own and I love it. I hope that you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mines. Have fun, be safe, and don’t forget your life jackets!
